Scale Model of the 1988 McLaren MP4/4

The Tamiya 92208 kit recreates the McLaren MP4/4 at 1/20 scale, capturing the engineering that made the car successful in 1988. The original design, by Steve Nichols, combined a tight aerodynamic package with the Honda RA 168E V6 twin-turbo engine, and the car was raced by both Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna.

Parts, Finish and Assembly

Builders can remove the body cowl to reveal internal details like the V6 turbo engine, radiator and intercooler. The suspension arms are formed from ABS resin for strength, and the tyres are solid rubber to match the original look. The kit includes accurate markings so you can finish it as either A. Senna or A. Prost.
