JR Azente Progress Built on Super-II Chassis

The Tamiya 94871 JR Azente Progress is a limited 1/32 Mini 4WD kit that pairs a classic body profile with the Super-II chassis. The configuration is well suited to hands-on hobbyists who prefer to test different setups and adjust handling for varied track layouts. The combination of aesthetics and functional parts makes it a versatile addition to a tuners collection.

Chassis Construction and Styling

The Super-II chassis uses rugged ABS in a black finish for reliability under use. Included light gun metal A-parts and EX side stays contribute to a stiff, track-ready assembly. The Azente body channels a retro design while keeping aerodynamic lines to reduce lift at speed.

Tuning, Rollers and Motor Options

Equipped with large carbon reinforced wheels and low-profile tyres, this kit focuses on traction and acceleration. 13mm aluminium bearing rollers combined with 19mm low friction rollers increase cornering consistency, and built-in mass damper mounts assist in stabilising the car through jumps and fast sections. The kit runs on a 3.5:1 gear set and accepts Type 130 motors for customised power delivery.

  • Scale: 1/32
  • Material: ABS (Chassis), Carbon Reinforced Wheels
  • Gear Ratio: 3.5:1
  • Motor: Type 130 (sold separately)
A careful build can take a few hours depending on experience; allow extra time for fitting rollers, bearings and any paint or decals you plan to apply.
Fine-tuning suspension elements like mass dampers and adjusting tyre choice or tyre pressure can reduce hop. Ensuring rollers are aligned and bearings run freely also helps.
Replacement A-parts, rollers and aftermarket upgrades for the Super-II chassis are commonly available and can extend the kit's life and performance options.
