The Tamiya 95120 Baron Viento Japan Cup 2019 model combines a competition-inspired livery with the FM-A front motor platform. It is crafted to handle the lifts and drops common on organised Mini 4WD tracks while still presenting well for shelf display.
The FM-A chassis places the motor at the front to shift the centre of mass forward, which helps with stability during cornering and downhill stretches. The kit includes low-friction front skid bars, a full set of rollers, and 8mm rear rollers to maintain balance at speed. The chassis uses tough black ABS for longevity and straightforward servicing.
The shell is moulded from black ABS and includes sticker artwork featuring Japan Cup 2019 branding. It rides on red dish wheels with super hard tyres and white pad-printed sidewalls, a combination that blends race-ready durability with a classic Mini 4WD look.
Out of the box the model runs a Type 130 motor with a 3.5:1 gear ratio and takes two AA batteries, sold separately. Builders can fit a wide range of Grade-Up Parts to adjust traction, roll characteristics and overall lap performance for club-level competition.
