Quick product look

The Tamiya 95639 Mini 4WD 40th Anniversary Super Hard Large Diameter Low Profile Tire and Wheel Set offers a tidy upgrade for Mini 4WD enthusiasts wanting a stiffer tyre option and an attractive wheel finish. The set includes four super hard low profile tyres together with 6-spoke gold wheels to help stabilise your car during aggressive laps.

Design and material notes

Tyres use an elastomer black, super hard compound with a large diameter low profile shape to reduce rebound after jumps while keeping contact through turns. The 6-spoke wheels are gold and robust. The tyre sidewall features white print reading "TAMIYA MINI 4WD 40th ANNIVERSARY / SUPER HARD".

Which cars work best

Compatible with Mini 4WD and Mini 4WD PRO models in most cases, though some chassis or bodies will need slight modification for clearance. These components are popular for racers seeking firmer corner entry and less mid-corner vibration.

Mounting and care

Installation is simple with snap-fit wheels. Avoid solvents or aggressive chemicals on the printed lettering. After fitting, spin each wheel to confirm there is no rubbing and that the tyre sits evenly on the rim.

I have been purchasing Tamiya products with Rcjaz for a couple of months now, selection is awesome and service is quick and reliable, considering I leave half way around the world.
No special rims are needed; these tyres are matched to the included 6-spoke wheels and will fit standard Mini 4WD wheel hubs, though some cars may benefit from spacers to adjust offset.
Super hard tyres perform best on smoother tarmac or dedicated Mini 4WD tracks. Rough or highly abrasive surfaces will accelerate wear and provide less grip than softer compounds.
Lightly sand plastic surfaces, apply a primer made for polystyrene, then use thin coats of paint. Keep paint off tyre bead areas to maintain fit and balance.
Normal handling and track time will eventually wear the print. Avoid aggressive cleaners and reduce contact with solvents to keep the white lettering intact longer.
