Single-piece stainless chassis guard

The BBX333 skid guard is an aftermarket stainless steel underplate built for the TAMIYA BBX BB-01 chassis. The single continuous plate covers front, centre and rear zones to improve torsional rigidity and shield the underside from rocks, grit and repeated impacts while matching factory mounting points.

Made from high-strength stainless steel through an integrated moulding process, the 1mm plate resists deformation and surface corrosion in extended field use. By distributing impact energy along a single plate, it reduces stress concentrations that can cause chassis cracks at mount locations.

Attach the plate using the included Grade 12.9 black flat head screws at the designated front, centre and rear mounting points. Confirm even seating and secure thread engagement so the plate sits flush and does not induce extra load on chassis fasteners. The skid acts as a tuning component by stiffening the chassis footprint and providing a reliable contact plane for low-clearance builds.
