Rear adjustable shock for BBX chassis

This aftermarket rear shock assembly is intended for the TAMIYA 1/10 BBX BB-01 platform and is offered as GPM model BBX090R. It serves as a rear replacement hop-up that gives simple spring preload control via the top retainer.

The kit uses 7075 aluminium for the primary damper body and includes two rear dampers together with two spare silver springs. The installed dampers come with the standard black springs, while the silver spares are 0.1mm thicker in wire to deliver a firmer characteristic when fitted.

Adjustment requires only simple mechanical changes: rotate the top spring retainer to alter preload and effective spring rate, enabling fine tuning of rear balance and rebound without cutting or modifying the damper barrel.

Packing includes

  • Rear damper - 2pcs
  • Silver spring - 2pcs
  • Grade 12.9 black round head screws 3x12 - 2pcs

Ideal for replacing tired rear shocks or tuning handling with a tough 7075 aluminium housing and quick preload adjustment; installation follows existing geometry for a clean swap.

No, the dampers use the existing rear shock mounts on the BBX BB-01 so no extra mounting hardware should be required for standard installations.
The silver springs have a 0.1mm larger wire diameter which increases spring rate and gives a firmer rear feel compared with the stock black springs.
Yes, service is similar: check for smooth travel, refresh oil or seals as needed, and replace springs or screws from the supplied parts if damaged.
