Centre drive shaft with adjustable span

This tunable centre drive shaft fits TAMIYA CC01 models and is supplied as SCC037SAL. It features steel connection parts combined with a 6061 T aluminium shaft body to cut rotating weight while keeping load areas hardened.

The unit uses a steel wire ring to hold the screw fittings in place and resist loosening during use. An aluminium outer sleeve reduces mass on the rotating assembly while internal steel components protect coupling points from wear. The length can be set from 138mm up to 145mm to suit tight chassis spacing.

Install this shaft when you need a replaceable, adjustable centre drive on CC01 projects, for aligning driveline geometry or when swapping components that change prop shaft spacing. This is intended for model use only.

Standard screwdriver and pliers are sufficient to set and secure the screws and position the steel wire ring; no specialised tooling is required.

Are spare O-rings available?

Will this work with heavy-duty servo setups?

The shaft is designed for scale drivetrains; if you run unusually high torque setups check coupling and bearing loads and reinforce mounts as needed.
