This aftermarket centre gearbox is an RC accessory designed for the Tamiya CC02 MERCEDES-BENZ G500 platform. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, the unit helps secure the transmission gears inside the CC02 centre assembly and contributes to a more consistent steering feel and drivetrain stability under crawling loads. This is a scale RC part and not for use on real vehicles.

The aluminium housing replaces the stock plastic centre gearbox to create a firmer platform for gears and to improve dimensional accuracy at interfaces with driveshafts and bearings. The higher thermal conductivity of aluminium helps move heat away from gear contact areas during prolonged trail running, which can improve long-run consistency.
