The kit upgrades the factory plastic servo saver and steering rods on Tamiya CC-02 vehicles with aluminium parts engineered for greater steering loads and repeatable link geometry. Central to the kit is a 25T servo-spline saver body matched to aluminium threaded tie rods for straightforward replacement of the OEM steering links on CC-02 frames.
Installation follows standard RC procedures: remove the stock saver and tie rods, install the aluminium servo saver on the servo spline, hook up the tie rods to the servo horn and steering knuckles, then fine-tune toe and centring by altering rod length and horn position. Use a thread locking compound on steel-to-aluminium fasteners where applicable and avoid applying excessive torque to screws.
From a tuning perspective the aluminium assembly provides a firmer steering feel and reduces mechanical slack when combined with higher-torque servos. It is intended as a scale upgrade to improve steering consistency and simplify setup or repairs.
