The JR-LB08-LB kit swaps the stock plastic servo saver and steering links for machined aluminium components tailored to the TAMIYA CW-01 Lunch Box chassis. The metal parts reduce flex under load and provide a firmer, more consistent steering input when driving aggressively.
Installation follows standard CW-01 procedures for steering assemblies. The saver uses a 25T spline common to many steering servos, and the aluminium tie rods terminate in standard ball joints and threaded fittings used on Lunch Box knuckles. Check spline seating and thread engagement during assembly to prevent any binding or misalignment.
For tuning, owners will notice a shift toward crisper steering and lower hysteresis compared with original plastic parts. This helps with steering precision when running higher-torque servos or when dialing in more aggressive steering rates on the CW-01 platform.
