This set of two steel drive shafts is manufactured as a direct replacement for the factory plastic shafts in Tamiya DT02, DT03, and TT02B drivetrains. They are intended for scale RC on-road and touring use, giving a simple swap-in option when a metal component is required for improved wear life.
Fitment is specific to the Tamiya plastic cup joint; do not attempt to use these with Tamiya 53790. During installation confirm cup engagement, check drivetrain alignment, ensure clearance from the gearbox and bearings, and verify smooth rotation prior to final assembly. The upgrade reduces deformation under load compared with stock plastic parts, helping to preserve consistent spur and pinion engagement during aggressive runs.
