Rear CVD half-shafts for Tamiya platforms

This rear constant velocity drive shaft is produced as a replacement for Tamiya DT02, DT03 and TT02B chassis. The driven halves are made from alloy steel #45 and the set is supplied as one pair to replace worn rear drivetrain components.

Compatibility is limited to the chassis listed; this item is NOT suitable for Tamiya 58374. It is intended for hobby use to restore correct drivetrain geometry, reduce play at the rear diff output, and offer a straightforward metal upgrade over worn plastic parts.

Installation is standard for rear CVD swaps: strip the rear hubs and driveline components to access the shaft ends, check set-screws and hex seating, and observe axle alignment through suspension droop to avoid binding. Minor set-screw trimming or light thread-lock on steel fasteners can be used if required.

Compatible Models

  • Tamiya DT02
  • Tamiya DT03
  • Tamiya TT02B

Keep replacement shafts matched to the correct chassis code for spline count and length, and check bearings and hub hardware when performing the swap.

I bought several parts off you guys for a few different Tamiya chassis. Love the quality of your products. Can I ask why you do not have any parts for the Tamiya CR-01 chassis?

Thank you very much, all arrived safely. Thank you very much for this first transaction from Japan to my beautiful France. Good luck and thank you again from the bottom of my heart. See you next time and good luck in the land of the rising sun. ++++
You receive one pair of rear CVD shafts intended to replace the stock rear driveline pieces on compatible Tamiya models.
They are listed for TT02B, DT02 and DT03. Confirm hub and differential mating to ensure correct fit before tightening fasteners.
Verify axle alignment under full droop, seat set-screws properly and use minimal thread-lock on steel-to-steel joints to prevent loosening.
They can reduce slop-related noise by tightening up the rear output, though overall noise also depends on bearings and gear condition.
