The aluminium front steering knuckle is designed for the TAMIYA DT-03 chassis and is referenced as JR-DT306-BK. As a replacement for the stock plastic knuckle, it increases rigidity at critical points and refines steering input without modifying the base suspension geometry.
This part functions as the wheel hub mount and steering knuckle, carrying the wheel hex and connecting to the steering links and lower suspension arms. Aluminium construction reduces flex at the mounting interfaces and can translate into a more immediate steering response on sealed tracks.
Installation is routine for those experienced with DT-03 layouts: remove the OEM uprights, swap over wheel hexes and bearings, and mount the JR-DT306-BK units to the original attachment points. After installation, confirm steering ball link geometry, wheel clearance, and unrestricted servo horn and tie-rod movement.
As a tuning upgrade, this uprights aims to add durability and clearer feedback: it resists bending better than plastic which helps maintain alignment settings under heavy inputs. It does not change suspension geometry, so use shock and ride-height tuning to fine tune handling.
