The F103RM-13 pole is built as a drop-in replacement for the friction damper pole used with the TAMIYA F103RM chassis. It purposefully supports fine manual tuning of damping on 1/10 touring setups running friction-style dampers.
To fit the pole, remove the damper from the car, open the friction unit and extract the existing pole, inspect the internals for wear or dirt, then insert the F103RM-13 and refit using the original screws and retainers. No specialised tools are required for routine replacement.
In tuning terms the pole functions as an internal interface that affects how damping loads are transferred inside the friction unit, giving the driver more granular feel over rebound and compression adjustments.
Care advice: avoid grit ingress, check for scoring or looseness, and swap the pole if movement becomes rough to keep damping predictable on track.
