The JR-TFD07-LB rear tower is an aluminum upgrade made for TAMIYA Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher buggies to stiffen the rear shock mounting area. Its direct-fit design gives a more rigid anchor point for shocks, helping to stabilise chassis movement during high-load maneuvers.
The part replaces the stock plastic tower and mates with existing shock shafts and mounting hardware. Fitting typically involves removing the body and rear shock assembly, moving spacers and fasteners to the new tower, and fastening it to the rear bulkhead with the original screws. No special tools or extra fasteners are normally necessary.
For drivers who tune shock position, spring rate, and damping, the aluminum tower aims to produce clearer feedback by reducing mount flex, which can improve the repeatability of rebound and compression settings on 1/10 electric buggies.
