This rear shock tower is a CNC-friendly aluminium hop-up tailored for the Tamiya GB-01 chassis and identified as GB-11/LB. It replaces the plastic rear shock mounting plate with a metal mounting surface for the rear suspension.

The part secures the upper shock pivots and helps keep the intended geometry intact when the car is under load. Compared with the original plastic component, aluminium reduces elongation at the holes and holds attachment points steady during long runs or when changing to stiffer setups.

Installation advice: the tower follows the GB-01 rear mounting layout so it installs at the same chassis location. During fitting, confirm the alignment of the upper shock mounts and the chassis screw pattern, and tighten fixings to maintain the correct shock angle and travel. Regular checks of fasteners and contact areas are part of routine servicing.

For setup work, using an aluminium rear tower gives repeatable shock placement after repeated use or while swapping shock lengths and mount positions. It stabilises rear shock geometry for clearer comparison of damping and spring changes.
