Heavy-duty gear box stay for Hotshot series

Manufactured from aluminum and finished in black, this gear box stay with built-in stabilizer mount is supplied for TAMIYA Hotshot family vehicles (model JR-THS08-BK). It replaces the standard plastic stay to provide a stiffer, more precise mounting for the gearbox and stabiliser linkage.

Intended strictly for 1/10-scale Hotshot models, the stabilizer mounting point uses the existing linkage geometry on compatible chassis so no transmission case modification is required. Use as a direct-fit replacement where compatibility is indicated below.

What are the key installation steps?

Remove the original plastic stay, align the aluminium stay at the gearbox mounting holes, and fasten with the stock screws. Confirm stabilizer linkage alignment before final tightening.

No chassis drilling is required when installing on the listed Hotshot models; the part uses factory mounting points for a direct fit.

Can I reuse my original hardware?
