Overview of front CVD upgrade

This aftermarket front CVD drive shaft is provided as part HS2067FS and targets TAMIYA HOTSHOT II 1/10 scale vehicles. The item is fabricated from 4140 medium carbon steel with a thickened profile to offer greater wear resistance than conventional dog bone parts.

The pair replaces the stock dog bone setup with CVD-style front shafts, supplied as two pieces at 67mm each. Fitting the parts requires removing the original dog bones, fitting the CVD cups into the current hubs and verifying spline and hex engagement; no extra tools or adapter kits are included.

As a tuning component, the front CVD shafts concentrate on improving front drivetrain longevity and torsional stiffness. Periodic inspection of spline seating and light lubrication of the joint and nearby bearings will help preserve consistent drivetrain behaviour.

Packing includes

  • Front CVD Drive Shaft 67mm - 2pcs

Compatible Models

  • TAMIYA 1/10 HOTSHOT II 2024-58737-A

GPM HS2067FS front CVD shafts present a reinforced, direct-fit option that improves HOTSHOT II front drivetrain resilience and ongoing maintenance compatibility.

No new hexes are supplied; the shafts are intended to use the existing hex and hub fittings when compatible with the HOTSHOT II front end.
Each shaft is 67mm, which replaces the stock front dog bone length for the listed compatible HOTSHOT II model.
The CVD design increases torsional stiffness at the front, which can affect steering feedback and durability under higher loads.
Regularly check spline engagement and apply light lubricant to the CVD joint and nearby bearings, particularly after muddy or heavy sessions.
