Overview of the Tamiya 18025 Jr Dash-1 Emperor body and build

This kit reproduces the Dash-1 Emperor in a Jr chassis configuration, featuring an oversized rear wing and wider side pontoons that change the car's stance and require careful attention to clearance when mounting the body. The styling is faithful to the original silhouette but adapted for Jr format.

Running gear attachment methods have been updated versus some prior releases; the wheels now use hex-hole fastening to improve seating on standard axles. Packaging details have been refreshed for this edition. Assembly follows standard Mini 4WD practices and is best handled by builders familiar with original kits.

  • Scale: 1/32
  • Chassis: Jr chassis
  • Drive system: 4WD
  • Motor: Type 130 motor (included)
  • Gear ratios: 6.4:1 and 5:1
  • Wheel material: Polypropylene
  • Wheel fastening: Hex holes
  • Power: Requires two AA batteries (sold separately)

A compact option for collectors and weekend club racers who like original-spec Mini 4WD models with slight material and packing improvements, offering the recognizable Dash-1 Emperor look in Jr scale.

The Jr chassis follows Tamiya's typical Jr layout; while it supports many standard parts, check part compatibility before planning upgrades intended for other chassis types.
Because of the expanded rear wing and side pontoons, verify clearance around the wheels and any post-mounted accessories to avoid interference during rotation.
The polypropylene wheels with hex-hole fastening are intended to seat more securely; this improves fit but does not alter the kit's original performance intent.
The kit contains a Type 130 motor, but batteries are not included. You will need two AA batteries to power the car.
