The JR-TA100-DB aftermarket main drive shaft is supplied as a direct-fit alternative to the usual single-piece steel shaft on TAMIYA TA01/DF01 platforms, manufactured in anodised blue aluminium with an integrated joint to allow normal suspension movement. It is intended as an RC-scale drivetrain part for repairs and setup tuning.
Designed for TA01 and DF01 chassis, the shaft should be trial-fitted to confirm gearbox and driveline interface compatibility before final installation. The joint retains the mechanical connection between gearbox output and the drive train while permitting typical suspension articulation.
Fitting tips: remove the factory shaft following the service manual, verify gear mesh and alignment, and confirm the shaft rotates freely through full suspension travel prior to tightening fasteners. Check that the assembly clears nearby components and does not bind under load.
Tuning notes: installers often use JR-TA100-DB when refreshing worn drivetrain parts or when fine-tuning rotational feel; inspect the joint regularly for wear and replace the shaft if significant play develops to preserve handling predictability.
