Motor Mount for TA08 PRO Chassis

This aluminium motor mount is an aftermarket replacement tailored for the TAMIYA TA08 PRO motor area, intended to upgrade stiffness over the original plastic bracket.

Forged from 6061-T6 aluminium, the part provides higher resistance to bending and assists heat transfer away from the motor. Its hollowed design keeps weight down while preserving the structural mounting surface.

The unit secures motor position to maintain pinion and spur alignment during setup and running; fitting needs basic disassembly of the motor area and common tools such as hex drivers.

Do I need shim adjustments after installation?

Yes, after fitting rotate the drivetrain and fine tune shims to obtain correct gear mesh without binding.

Is corrosion a concern with the supplied screws?

Screws are stainless steel which resists rust, but check threads and reapply light threadlocker where long term vibration could loosen fasteners.

Can this be used with alternative motor brackets?

It is designed for the TA08 PRO motor area; compatibility with third party brackets depends on their mounting pattern and stack height.

Will the hollowing create weak points?

Hollow sections are engineered to reduce mass while keeping the primary load paths solid, so normal track loads are handled without concern.
