This aluminium rear upper suspension arm replaces the factory plastic arm on TAMIYA TL-01, GF-01 and WR-02 chassis. The black unit installs above the rear hub carrier and serves as a drop-in upgrade for drivers seeking firmer mounting points.

Its role in the suspension is to stabilise rear wheel alignment, control camber variation and affect roll-center behaviour in concert with the rest of the rear linkage. Swapping to aluminium reduces attachment-point compliance and produces a more repeatable geometry under dynamic loading, which benefits tuning work.

To install, remove rear hub carriers and swap the upper arm while confirming ball-stud and pivot clearances. Check that mounting holes and studs seat cleanly without binding and verify smooth articulation across the travel range. As with any scale part, check thread engagement, retorque fasteners and ensure free-moving joints after the initial test running.
