14-tooth hardened pinion for Mini-T

Designed for Team Losi Mini-T 2.0 2WD cars, this part carries the code LM014T. The pinion is produced from hardened 45# steel, specified for a 2mm motor bore and 0.5mm tooth pitch with 14 teeth. It is intended to sit on the motor shaft and transmit drive to the vehicle spur gear.

Key fitting notes and installation points:

  • Design: hardened 45# steel pinion, 14T, 0.5mm pitch.
  • Bore: 2mm centre hole to fit motors with a 2mm shaft; measure your shaft to confirm fit.
  • Installation: position on the motor shaft, set appropriate mesh to the spur gear, tighten the set screw and check for concentric fit to reduce wear.
  • Tuning role: swapping to a 14T changes the final drive ratio, affecting launch and top speed - match the pinion to track and motor power.
  • Included items as supplied: pinion gear (1 pcs) and a 3x3 screw shaft (1 pcs).

This is an aftermarket RC drivetrain component for tuning and maintenance; it is not intended for use in full-size vehicles.

Thank you for great service. After receiving one incorrect item in shipment the correct part was promptly posted to me.
No, the bore is 2mm. If your motor shaft differs you will need a compatible motor or a separate adapter/pinion with the correct bore.
A 14T pinion usually gives a mid-range balance between acceleration and top speed versus smaller or larger pinions; choose based on track layout and motor torque.
Regularly check mesh and set screw tightness, inspect tooth faces for wear, and replace if you see chipping or excessive wear.
