YZ-2 left and right transmission cases

The Yokomo Z2-302 transmission case L/R is supplied as a set of left and right gearbox housings for the YZ-2 2WD platform, designed to house the spur gear, pinion mesh and associated bearings. The component preserves the original internal layout and mounting geometry used by the YZ-2 drivetrain.

Tuning impact: this part is used to restore or replace worn housings on compatible YZ-2 variants, maintaining accurate gear mesh and gearbox alignment so tuning settings remain consistent. Molded composite construction reduces weight and cost while offering the repeatable dimensions needed for predictable setup changes.

Fitment advice: the case installs in place of the factory halves using the same fastener pattern and clearances, so the chassis service sequence is unchanged and no gearbox modifications are required. Verify bearing seating and spur/pinion clearance during reassembly and reuse the original screws to keep thread engagement and factory tolerances.

Compatibility:

  • B-YZ2
  • B-YZ2CA
  • B-YZ2DTM
  • B-YZ2DTMW
  • B-YZ2DTM2
  • B-YZ2CAL2
  • B-YZ2DTM2S
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
No suspension geometry changes are required. The Z2-302 matches the factory mounting points so setup and alignment remain the same after fitting.
Check and set a consistent spur to pinion clearance during reassembly; the case itself does not require a different mesh but precise clearance helps drivetrain efficiency and reduces wear.
Use the original factory screws and confirm thread engagement. Special fasteners are not required unless the originals are damaged.
