1/10 rear aluminium gearbox for Rustler VXL

The 17pcs aluminum rear gearbox set is created for 1/10 TRAXXAS platforms to add stability to the rear differential assembly, delivering smoother gear rotation and more consistent rear diff behaviour. The principal housing pieces are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to offer a balance of low mass and higher tensile strength versus stock plastic housings.

The case has a finned heat-sink finish to aid heat dissipation around the diff on longer runs. Fasteners shipped with the kit are stainless steel round and flat head screws in assorted lengths to fasten the gearbox halves and internal parts without extra hardware.

What exactly is in the 17pc kit?

The kit comprises 17 aluminium gearbox parts plus a selection of stainless steel screws in the lengths listed by the manufacturer to assemble and mount the gearbox.

Can I fit this to my VXL without mods?

If your vehicle is one of the models shown in the Compatible Models box, the part is designed to fit but you should verify mounting points and clearances before final installation.

Is threadlocker recommended?

For high-power usage apply a medium-strength threadlocker to metal threads and confirm screw lengths to avoid insufficient engagement or stripped threads.

Does the aluminium shell improve durability?

A 6061-T6 aluminium housing increases structural rigidity compared with plastic, helping keep gear mesh stable under load while the finned finish helps shed heat from the diff area.
