This upgrade set replaces the original spur interface on TRAXXAS CRANIAC Monster Truck drivetrains with an aluminium spur gear adapter and a matched 58T steel spur plus 13T steel pinion, supplied as one kit. Intended for 1:10 scale RC use, the parts are designed to work with the stock gearbox and motor pinion without chassis modification.

Installation is aimed at hobbyists familiar with basic drivetrain servicing: remove the stock spur assembly, mount the aluminium adapter to the spur shaft using the correct faces, fit the 58T spur to the adapter and secure the 13T pinion to the motor shaft while checking gear mesh. Fine tune clearance with shims or motor mount adjustments to prevent binding and premature wear.

The adapter gives a more rigid mounting point under load and the hardened steel gears extend service life compared with softer stock gears. Keep in mind that tooth count changes will influence acceleration and top speed, so perform short test runs and monitor drivetrain temperature after fitting.

For tougher gear teeth and reduced spur flex on CRANIAC drivetrains, this set offers a solid upgrade; inspect mesh and recheck temperatures after initial runs to confirm correct installation.
