Lightweight finned motor plate for TRAXXAS E-REVO VXL

Engineered from machined 6061 T6 aluminium, this motor plate replaces the factory mounting interface and links the centre gearbox to the motor while adding integrated fins to aid heat dispersion. The material choice provides a balance of reduced weight and improved tensile strength over many stock components.

The extended fin surface helps passive cooling on long runs, and the supplied stainless fasteners and mounts allow a direct swap with the factory hardware. This is an aftermarket upgrade aimed at hobbyists who want firmer motor mounting and better thermal control for E-Revo VXL rigs; always confirm fitment before use.

Will this change gear mesh or pinion alignment?

The plate is designed to keep original mounting geometry, so gear mesh should remain unchanged if installed with correct shims and motor placement.

Does the plate need periodic maintenance?

Check mounting screws for tightness and inspect the fins for debris after muddy or dusty use; cleaning the fins can help maintain cooling efficiency.

Is the finish corrosion resistant?

6061 T6 aluminium resists corrosion better than raw steel, but rinsing and drying after wet runs is recommended to protect fasteners and mating surfaces.
