The TRV089 alloy fuel tank protector is an aftermarket aluminium-alloy replacement suited to TRAXXAS Revo and Revo 3.3 nitro vehicles. Its purpose is to protect the plastic fuel tank from direct impact, trail debris and abrasion without altering the fuel system itself.

Fitted over the original tank area, the part uses the supplied mounting hardware in the single-piece set for an uncomplicated upgrade or service swap. It preserves access to the fuel lines and fittings while providing a rigid surface beneath the tank location.

In practice, the protector helps limit tank deformation that can upset fuel delivery and engine behaviour, and it reinforces the chassis mounting area under heavy use. Always check clearance to the exhaust and the range of rear suspension travel when fitting.
