This kit fits a low-centre aluminium gear adapter together with hardened 32 pitch steel spur and motor gears for the TRAXXAS Slash 4X4 Low-CG configuration. The aluminium adapter reduces flex at the spur mount while the steel 56T spur plus 17T motor gear endure repeated use and pinion changes.

Fitment tips: the adapter takes the place of the factory plastic adapter on the 68086-21 variant and secures the 56T spur for correct mesh with the motor pinion. After fitting, check mesh and pinion height, set a slight backlash and confirm chassis clearance to protect the Low-CG layout.

Practical tuning: selecting different pinions alters the final drive and handling. The included 56T and 17T gears provide a ready ratio, and the hardened-steel set reduces wear when testing alternative motor gear sizes for race or rough-surface use.
