This replacement set upgrades the stock plastic interface on TRAXXAS SLASH 4X4 models that use the 68086-21 version, providing a lower centre mount made from aluminium and matched hardened steel 32 pitch gears for repeatable drivetrain feel.

The aluminium mounting part reduces flex at the interface and the hardened steel 56T spur with 18T motor gear resists wear better than plastic alternatives, making gear engagement more predictable during sustained acceleration and rough bashing.

Adjusting pinion tooth count alters the final drive so you can tune the vehicle for quicker getaway or higher top speed; the kit includes a 56T spur and supports common 32 pitch pinions, with the example ratios listed below.
