Aluminium low-CG shocks matched to low-clearance tyres

This four-piece upgrade is designed to replace stock suspension components on compatible Traxxas Slash 4x4 models, lowering the centre of gravity to improve chassis stability at pace. The aluminium damper bodies and matched tyres reduce body roll and help the car track straighter on a variety of surfaces.

The kit fits a 13.8mm diameter shock cylinder and a 4mm shock shaft, with slightly longer coil springs compared to the reference. The result is increased oil volume and a wider spring seating range, which helps mid-speed compliance and keeps damping more consistent over smaller bumps.

Adjustable hardware is included for ride height and preload tuning: 4mm and 5mm aluminium shims, 12-17 hex converters, lock nuts, Delrin collars and stainless button-head screws. The hex converters let you mate the kit to the standard Slash 4x4 wheel hex pattern while shims set starting preload.

Fitment advice: intended for those comfortable servicing RC suspension; verify screw lengths and thread engagement when installing and re-check wheel alignment post-fitment. Tuning advice: begin conservative with two 4mm shims front and rear, then modify preload and oil weight to tune understeer and traction.
