The spring steel cup joint is an aftermarket replacement specifically for the rear CVD universal swing shaft used on 1/10 TRAXXAS Slash 4x4 platforms and sold as model SSLA1277R/JT. It is made to work with the SSLA1277RST rear CVD assembly and serves as a direct replacement for that rear universal swing shaft cup joint.

Material and role: spring steel provides a balance of torsional springback and durability, making it a common choice for cup joints subject to repeated torque cycles and small impacts. The component transmits torque from the differential to the rear driveshaft while allowing limited angular movement from suspension travel.
