Heavy duty front CVD shaft

The SSLA1280FHA front CVD drive shaft is an aftermarket replacement made for TRAXXAS Slash 1/10 4x4 vehicles. It pairs stainless steel 304 joint cores with an aluminium 6061-T6 outer body to offer a mix of corrosion resistance and lower rotating weight for the front drivetrain.

Design notes include stainless 304 at the axle joint cores to prevent rust and a thicker shaft profile than the stock item to improve durability. The aluminium housing is precision machined to take the joint assembly and is available in a range of finishes for matching during maintenance.

Silicone O-rings are fitted around the joint to cushion shock transfer on hard landings, and the joint layout places pivot parts inside the shaft envelope for extra protection from dirt and impacts.

Reference hardware includes 3mm steel hex shims, M4x2.5x11 and 3x3 screws, and silicone O-rings. The 3mm steel hex shim is optional depending on specific wheel hex sizing.

Fitment advice: install one side at a time to preserve alignment, check spline engagement and wheel hex fit before final tightening, and test full suspension movement to ensure no binding after installation.
