The JR-TRX411-GU front C-hub assembly is an RC-scale metal replacement for the Traxxas TRX-4 chassis with a gun metal anodised finish. It is intended to reduce steering pivot compliance compared with stock plastic hubs and increase component life.
These hubs are cut to match TRX-4 mounting geometry and work with the standard TRX-4 steering knuckles and spindles. Typical fitting reuses the vehicle's original hardware so installation is straightforward on a standard TRX-4 setup.
From a setup standpoint, replacing plastic hubs with aluminium can alter steering geometry behavior under load, affecting toe and caster during slow technical maneuvers. The primary aim is consistent steering alignment and reduced movement of the pivot under stress.
For installation verify thread engagement, remove any flash from mating surfaces, check linkage and suspension clearances, and torque to the chassis manufacturer's values. Many builders use a small amount of threadlocker on fasteners that undergo repeated shock cycles.
