The design accommodates a 35mm sink profile and includes the necessary adapter and fasteners for standard 540 motors.

Compatibility: suitable for 540-size motors only, the package contains a plug adapter and mounting screws for straightforward installation. Typical fitting involves removing the motor endbell if required, sliding the heatsink over the motor can, fastening the fan lid and wiring the fan to a 5-12V supply on the model; verify the fan voltage with your ESC or separate power feed.

Functional role: this component focuses on thermal management rather than altering torque or speed characteristics; correct installation can lower sustained operating temperatures and improve run consistency on technical sections.

How much cooling improvement should I expect?

Results vary by motor and duty cycle, but the TRX4018FAN can noticeably reduce temperature rise during long, low-speed efforts compared with an uncooled motor.

Can I run the fan from my receiver pack?

Yes, provided the receiver pack or BEC can supply the fan voltage and current. Use the adapter and confirm voltage limits to avoid overdriving the fan.

Is additional cooling paste required?

The heatsink is designed to clamp over the motor can; thermal paste is not normally required for this style of mounting, but some users apply a thin film for marginal gains.
