Upgraded Rear Centre Drive Shaft for TRAXXAS 1/7

This aftermarket rear centre driveshaft is built for TRAXXAS 1/7 Unlimited Desert Racer platforms and acts as a direct replacement for OEM part number 8555 on RC-scale models. Made from 4140 medium carbon steel, the shaft gives a robust steel option for the centre rear driveline used in off-road scale applications while maintaining the vehicle's original layout.

Design notes indicate a 6 mm dogbone thickness that improves torsional strength over thinner stock dogbones. The component fits into the rear driveshaft area and is secured with the standard mounting hardware included in the package.

Install this part to replace a worn or broken centre driveshaft or to upgrade to a tougher steel option for increased durability during repeated high-load runs. Leave setup and alignment unchanged unless other drivetrain components are also updated.

Packing includes

  • Rear Center Driveshaft - 1pcs
  • M4x2.5x13 Screw Shaft - 2pcs

Original Name / Part No:

8555

Compatible Models

  • TRAXXAS 1/7 Unlimited Desert Racer-85076-4
  • TRAXXAS 1/7 Unlimited Desert Racer-85086-4

A no-frills steel replacement for the rear centre driveline on TRAXXAS 1/7 Unlimited Desert Racer RC models, chosen where repairs or extra drivetrain toughness are required without redesign.

The part is designed as a direct replacement and should not change balance or geometry; only expect a change in durability and torsional stiffness.
A thicker dogbone increases resistance to twist under load, which can make the driveline feel stiffer under heavy acceleration or impact.
No special tooling is noted; standard hex drivers and hand tools will allow removal of the old shaft and installation of the supplied screws.
The package supplies one rear centre driveshaft and two M4x2.5x13 screw shafts as listed in the packing section.
