7075-T6 Shock Cap Upgrade

These aftermarket shock caps are built for TRAXXAS Unlimited Desert Racer platforms with a focus on long-lasting material and straightforward maintenance. CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the caps replace the OEM top caps and are intended to work with stock shock bodies and GPM aftermarket shock components.

Design elements include integrated bladders that assist seal life, a bleeder hole for easier pressure relief and oil servicing, plus a pivot ball interface to keep the damper crown articulation smooth. The set is supplied as a direct top-of-damper replacement using existing attachment points.

Installation tips: remove the shock from the arm or tower to reach the cap, handle shock oil before disassembly, exchange the factory cap for the alloy cap and fit the supplied bladder, then reassemble and inspect for leaks around the bleeder. Some experience with shock rebuilds helps ensure correct seal placement and oil level.

Tuning impact: the caps do not alter internal valving. They support better sealing and marginally influence articulation at the damper top, which can make damping feel more consistent, but they are primarily a service and durability improvement.
