L-shape front damper in 6061 T6, 135mm

This aluminium piggy back front damper set is supplied as an upgrade part for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER chassis. The design focuses on raising oil capacity and front suspension stiffness to enhance damping repeatability across rough, high-speed runs.

Manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminium, the damper bodies feature tight seals to reduce the chance of oil leakage and are compatible with thicker suspension oils for stronger damping. Shafts have been beefed up to 5mm to resist bending, and the L-shaped piggy back reservoir increases oil travel to smooth rebound and compression behaviour. Thicker coil springs are included to increase spring rate, while the original springs remain compatible for a softer setup.

Installation notes: these front dampers are sized at 135mm and intended to replace the standard front units on the stated TRAXXAS platform. Basic shock teardown and bleeding are needed during installation; ensure seals are positioned correctly and fasteners are torqued to prevent leaks. Adjust spring rate and oil weight to match terrain and driver preference.
