L-shape piggy back shock set in 6061-T6 aluminium for TRAXXAS

This L-shape piggy back shock kit is designed as a durable aluminium upgrade for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform. The 6061-T6 construction and integrated piston design focus on repeatable damping performance and reduced internal friction for scale off-road applications.

The dampers fit front and rear mount locations to help manage impact energy and keep the chassis balanced under load. Spring preload and perceived hardness are set via the upper spring retainer so drivers can quickly adapt suspension feel to loose, hardpack or mixed surfaces.

Great work at being shocks only problem is the same day I installed them and my UDR did a couple of cartwheels the bottom connector has now separated from the trailing arms while the connection is still in the trailing arms.

What materials are used in these dampers?

Bodies are machined from aluminium 6061-T6 with internal piston-style damping cartridges included.

Can I use different springs with these units?

Yes, standard shock springs can be swapped and preload adjusted at the top retainer to tune ride height and stiffness.

Do the dampers require special oil?
