Front Link Assembly Details

This is an aftermarket adjustable front steering toe link assembly tailored for TRAXXAS X-MAXX platforms and listed under model TXM162S. The links are crafted from 4140 carbon steel with an 8 mm rod thickness and permit center-to-center adjustment from 157-162 mm to suit specific steering setups. The part is designed to replace the factory steering toe link and is intended for RC-scale vehicles only.

Functionally the links allow fine control of front toe, affecting steering response and cornering balance on a scale monster truck. The supplied plastic rod ends fit the link terminations for easy assembly, and the turnbuckle-style adjuster makes toe changes straightforward without disturbing other suspension geometry. Note: incompatible with X-MAXX Wide kit (#7895).

For TRAXXAS X-MAXX owners requiring a steel adjustable toe link with a narrow tuning range, TXM162S offers a sturdy option. Always verify chassis measurements and kit compatibility before installation.

Remove the stock toe links, fit the plastic rod ends to the TXM162S links, hand-thread the turnbuckles until close to the 157-162 mm target, then mount and fine-tune toe with the steering centered. Tighten locknuts after final adjustment.
The 4140 carbon steel construction and 8 mm rod thickness improve resistance to bending and breakage, but inspect links and rod ends after severe impacts and replace any damaged components.
Increasing toe-in typically stabilizes straight-line tracking while toe-out can sharpen turn-in response. Use the TXM162S adjustment to fine-tune steering characteristics for track or off-road terrain.
The TXM162S is offered as an aftermarket replacement for the listed factory toe link. Verify the original part number shown in the product details before ordering to ensure compatibility.
