Purpose-built L-shape piggyback dampers for X-MAXX

This kit contains aluminum L-shape piggyback damper components intended for TRAXXAS X-MAXX shock bodies, replacing internal damper parts while retaining factory shock tubes. The piggyback design boosts internal oil capacity and features anti-leak attention to help preserve oil during heavy suspension travel.

Important: these components are not a standalone sealed shock and must be assembled with original X-MAXX shock bodies, caps, and seals to function correctly.

The kit upgrades the shaft to a 7mm stainless steel rod for greater stiffness under hard loads and uses aluminum for the piggyback housing to add strength without excessive mass. Spring choices included at source are a 6mm green coil and a 2.8mm orange coil to help with early setup adjustments.

Provided as a front and rear compatible set, the parts can be fitted to both ends of the X-MAXX chassis. Inspect and reuse factory hardware and seals where they remain serviceable to keep the kit's anti-leak performance intact.

Install with original X-MAXX shock bodies to gain extra oil volume and benefit from a stiffer 7mm shaft; experiment with spring placement and oil weight to suit your tracks or off-road lines.
