This replacement shock shaft set is offered as a direct-fit aftermarket option for 1/5 TRAXXAS X-MAXX dampers, suitable for routine damper rebuilds and straightforward tuning. Shafts are provided as a matched pair for front or rear damping assemblies and are RC parts only.

On damper service the shaft guides the piston and seal stack through motion; installing fresh shafts lowers seal friction and helps recover smooth damping response. Always inspect the damper bore and seal condition during the rebuild and replace worn seals or bushings to preserve proper damping action.

Fitment note: remove the shock from the chassis, drain the oil, then disassemble following your shock manual. Insert the shaft through the piston and seal stack, ensure the shaft ends match your shock cap and retainer geometry, then rebuild using the oil weight and stroke settings that suit your running terrain.
