How does this gearbox handle hard landings?

The 6061 T6 construction offers improved resistance to impact and flex compared with many plastic housings. For extreme impacts check internal gears and bearings after big jumps.

Are any extra screws needed beyond the packing contents?

The included screw set covers typical installation. Keep any spare stock screws for emergency field repairs, but no additional fasteners are normally required.

Will this affect drivetrain efficiency?

A well-machined aluminium housing can reduce flex and help maintain correct gear mesh, which supports consistent drivetrain efficiency when compared to worn plastic housings.
