Rear axle upgrade for XO-1

Designed for the TRAXXAS XO-1, this rear axle assembly transfers wheel power through a hardened steel #45 axle combined with a 6061 T6 aluminium housing to reduce flex while keeping the unit lightweight for agile response.

The component uses CVD-style coupling for consistent rotation under load and a retractable arrangement to spare space for rocker and suspension movement. It is intended as a replacement or tuning upgrade where a stiffer rear axle and alloy body are wanted for long-term reliability.

Included in the package are the smaller parts required for fitment: the CVDs and matching fasteners are supplied so you can install the axle assembly without tracking down extra pins or seals.

Love the shafts nice and beefy compared to stock and look great but needs to have a better design to keep the pins in other than the flimsy spring like Guards to keep them in my pins keep popping and sliding out from the high torque and speed.

Is this set suited to track or street running?

The alloy housing and hardened axle suit both controlled track use and aggressive street runs; regular inspection of CVDs and seals is advised after hard sessions.

Should I recheck fastener torque after initial runs?

Yes. After the first few runs, re-torque supplied fasteners to ensure nothing loosens as components bed in under load.

Can I reuse the OEM mounts and bearings?

In most cases the axle set is compatible with stock mounts and bearings, but verify physical fit and bearing seat dimensions before final installation.
