Product summary: Morser Karl-Gerat 040/041 in 1:144

This 1:144 scale plastic model kit depicts the Morser Karl-Gerat 040/041 in an initial variant release and is intended as part of a line of small armoured vehicle models for display collectors and diorama builders.

The real Karl-Gerät served as a German heavy self-propelled siege mortar designed before and employed during the Second World War to lob very large demolition shells at fortified emplacements. Only a limited number were built, and the design focused on transporting a massive-calibre weapon on a tracked chassis for specialised siege engagements.

The miniature reproduces the essential external profile at a small scale. Inside the box are 32 plastic pieces on a single sprue and the model finishes at 80.5 mm long, 30.5 mm wide and 33.5 mm high. Two decal marking options are supplied for three-color camouflage as Nr. III "Ordin 040" and Nr. V "Loki 040". Standard small-scale modelling techniques are suitable for assembly, painting and weathering.

A neat small-scale example suited to builders wanting a siege mortar subject in a compact 1:144 footprint.

Polystyrene cement is recommended for most joins; CA glue can be used selectively for fast or thin-bond applications on small parts.
At 1:144 scale, subtle washes and drybrushing are effective. Heavy weathering can obscure small details, so apply light layers for realistic results.
This kit is primarily a static display model; the simple parts count focuses on silhouette and detail rather than functional mechanisms.
Refer to historical reference images for the three-color combinations; use model paints thinned for fine spray work to reproduce small-scale camouflage accurately.
