The Trumpeter 1/35 German 2cm Flakvierling 38 Auf Selbstfahrlafette (Sd.Kfz.7/1 early version) is crafted to reflect the original vehicle's form and function. It makes a solid choice for builders focused on authenticity and display-ready finishes.
Introduced in 1939, the Flakvierling 38 addressed increasing aerial threats. It rode on an 8-ton Zugkraftwagen chassis and featured a central pivot mounting that was later stabilised with additional base supports. By 1942, protective armour was applied to some variants to defend the crew from small arms fire.
Trumpeter's detailed moulding captures proportions that scale well with other 1/35 subjects. The model measures 285mm in length, 69mm in width and 101.8mm in height, and the sprues provide the hull and track parts to complete a convincing miniature representation.
