The Flak 37 served as a key German AA gun in WWII, used to challenge low-flying aircraft and organised into batteries of nine to twelve pieces. It was versatile in deployment, appearing on rail mounts, ships, submarines and in urban Flak towers, with more than 4,211 units recorded by August 1944.
This 1/35 scale kit recreates the Flak 37 at 159 mm long and 76.8 mm wide. The set contains 133 injection-moulded plastic parts over five sprues, providing detail that rewards careful assembly.
The Trumpeter 02310 package contains two photo-etched parts to lift small features. There are no metal or resin parts included, so painting, weathering and optional aftermarket pieces are common steps to complete the model.
