The A-37B Dragonfly was produced as a beefed up follow on to the Super Tweet, designed for tougher operational demands. This B model provided extra structural strength and engine power, enabling it to carry up to 2.67 tons and store about 1,920 litres of fuel for longer missions.
Major external updates include the pitot tube relocated to the vertical tail leading edge and the addition of a refuelling probe on the fuselage for certain examples. Some export variants show the probe shortened or removed, which alters the silhouette.
The Trumpeter 1/48 kit reproduces these items with care. It comprises more than 170 parts and is engraved with fine panel lines, making it ideal for modellers who want a highly accurate finished model.
