The Trumpeter 1/350 USS The Sullivans DD-537 kit is well suited to builders focused on historical ships and fine detailing. The namesake ship honors the five Sullivan brothers lost on USS Juneau, launched in 1943, and later earned nine WWII battle stars plus two from the Korean War.
The destroyer served as a plane guard, carried out coastal bombardments and took part in anti-kamikaze defence. Those service roles are reflected in the kit, which provides options for either a waterline presentation or a full hull to match your display intent.
At a 1:350 scale the finished model spans 328 mm in length and 34 mm in beam, offering clear scope for painting and weathering. The kit contains 174 plastic parts over 12 sprues plus separate lower and upper hull pieces and deck assemblies. It does not include metal, resin or photo-etched components, and comes with decals for 1943 and 1945 markings.
