The USS ENGLAND DE-635 is remembered for its World War II record and for commemorating Ensign John Charles England from Pearl Harbor. From May 19 to May 31, 1944, the ship participated in the sinking of six Japanese submarines, a notable achievement reflected in this scale kit by Trumpeter.
Commissioned in December 1943 as part of the turbo-electric destroyer escorts, ENGLAND served in the Pacific campaign. The model aims to capture its wartime configuration and operational character for dedicated builders.
This 1/350 scale kit offers builders a choice of waterline or full hull builds and includes a photo-etched part to upgrade fine elements. Parts are arranged to allow careful detailing of superstructure and deck fittings.
The kit's accurate lines and decal options make it suitable for standalone display or as part of a larger WWII fleet collection. The waterline option also permits diorama work with sea effects and support vessels.
